A different way to run Sprint retrospectives.

For years now, the retrospectives in my teams were done with the start, stop and continue method.

It worked well, yet, usually, the hot, emotional topics are not raised during these retrospectives ( unless this is a mature team).

I just encountered a methods which might help in creating a more open and honest feedback on almost any topic, including team members, the team or the last sprint.

It is a simple method ( the full method can be found in http://ilikeiwish.org/ ) , you split a page into 2 parts, in the first half you write – I like, and in the second half you write – I wish.

A very simple method, yet, it enables the team to be more open and provide a constructive feedback to each other.

Try it out,

Kobi.
